Our customer, HeatMatrix Group BV, located in a bright and modern designed headquarters in the centre of the country, Geldermalsen, The Netherlands, is an innovative player that has developed a new generation of polymer air-preheaters and polymer economizers that enable heat recovery from corrosive and fouling gas streams originating from furnaces, reformers, boilers, heaters, ovens and dryers. Users will save on their fuel consumption and will reduce their CO2 footprint. These heat exchangers consist of lightweight, corrosion resistant polymer modules, which can be applied at high temperatures and are ideally suited for waste heat recovery from flue gases and exhaust air streams from dryers. Relevant markets are the oil refining, petrochemical, chemical, ceramics, biomass, steel and food industry. The technology has been proven with customers in different market segments and fulfils an unmet need of customers. The new Sales Engineer will execute the sales strategy/plan and will be responsible for his/her own group of clients. With his/her technical background he/she identifies new customers and business opportunities in European countries and lays the foundation for long term relationships as a trusted partner with final customers and engineering companies. He/she will proactively approach new clients, responds to their questions, gives technical product and application support in order to increase the awareness of HeatMatrix and its product portfolio, prepares technical and commercial proposals and generates sales. The Sales Engineer has a strong commercial drive and an optimistic nature. He/she will represent the company at business events, trade shows and conferences. The Sales Engineer reports to the Director Technical Sales.
We like to meet a commercially experienced engineer (at least 4 years engineering experience in the industry and/or with an engineering firm, with preferably additionally also one job in a commercial role) with at least a bachelor’s degree (HTS/ing.) in a technically related field like process technology, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or energy. A master degree (MSc/ir.) can be an advantage. Exposure to or expertise in industrial boilers, furnaces, condensers, ovens and heat exchangers is a plus, but not required. The candidate has a well-rounded process aptitude, has experience with mechanical drawings and datasheets and is familiar with process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), process flow diagrams (PFDs) and process modelling software. Experience with common office (MS Office) software is required. The Sales Engineer preferably has a sound commercial experience and is familiar with projects with long sales cycles. HeatMatrix is looking for a proactive team player who can work independently, has good communication, presentation and negotiation skills and who is fluent in Dutch, English and German. The candidate is living in the Netherlands, has an EU-passport or has a valid work permit. He/she is a self-starter, hands-on and is result driven. In this business it is important to quickly and accurately analyse what the customer needs are and translate this to solutions that HeatMatrix can provide.
